The closest Airport is Bengaluru(Bangalore) International Airport also known as Kempegowda International airport. It is well connected to Mysuru(Mysore) by rail and road. The travel time between Bengaluru(Bangalore) to Mysuru(Mysore) varies from 3 to 4 ½ hours depending on mode of travel. Please note there are no flights between Mysuru(Mysore) to Bengaluru(Bangalore)
- The Airport has Fly bus services that starts from the airport itself and reaches Mysuru(Mysore) without going through the city of Bengaluru(Bangalore). It is by far the most convenient way of travelling to reach Mysore from the airport. The bus has all the modern facilities with LCD screen, simple refreshments and a chemical toilet. You have to make the booking as “outstation” as Mysuru(Mysore) falls outside the city limits of Bengaluru(Bangalore). A group of three or more & booking a sedan to hold your luggage is recommended to keep the cost of travelling low.
- The train station connecting Bengaluru(Bangalore) to Mysuru(Mysore) is located in the heart of the city. Catching a cab from the airport or the Volvo bus services will allow you to reach the Train station and you should be able to travel by train and experience the local travel.
